Primary Function:
As a member of a project team, the Graduate Engineer will perform engineering and design duties, which require application of engineering principles.
Assignments are closely supervised and designed to further develop the intern's job knowledge and abilities.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs a Graduate Engineer, you may be asked to perform any the following functions:
Applies sound engineering principals and standards to utility substation or transmission line designsAssures all project deliverables meet the technical requirements of the projectAssists in the performance of the quality review of all project documents and make sure all project quality reviews adhere to company QA/QC practices and proceduresAssists in the preparation of specifications and material listsPopulate project change log throughout the project cycle with adequate out-of-scope descriptions and hours associated with the additional workPopulate the project RFI log throughout the project cycle and follow-up on information required within the logWork with Supervising Engineers and Project Managers to make sure projects are completed on schedule and within project budgetAssists with performing Project Close-Out and As-Built revisionsVisits construction sites with Project Engineer to inspect work in progress or completed, as required by clientAdditional duties as assigned by the Supervising Engineer or Project EngineerMinimum Qualifications / ExperienceCurrently enrolled in a university with a graduation date between December 2023 and August 2024.Currently majoring in Electrical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent major; power focus is preferred.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S., currently and in the future, without visa sponsorship. Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is a plus.Dashiell is a leading national provider of technical services to the electric utility, power generation, industrial, renewable and energy industries.
These services include planning and systems studies, design and engineering, maintenance and testing, program management, construction, and turnkey EPC projects.
