    Nexus Talent Connect Seeks Associate Litigation Attorney for Prominent North Carolina Law Firm

    A well-established personal injury firm located in Wilmington, North Carolina, is seeking an experienced Associate Litigation Attorney to join its rapidly expanding team The firm is committed to client satisfaction; therefore, candidates must have solid personal injury experience. We are looking for a North Carolina licensed attorney who is mid-career and ready to act as an assertive advocate for clients. You would be joining our team to handle auto liability, premises liability, and commercial claims.

    Responsibilities

    • Drafting lawsuits, drafting and responding to discovery, taking depositions, and conducting mediations and trials.
    • Work closely within the litigation team to guide the work of the paralegals and provide support to the senior managing attorneys for civil litigation and Camp Lejeune clients.
    • Determine case strategies and solutions to serve client's needs after analysis
    • Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action.
    • Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as briefs, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence.
    • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions.
    • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of Personal Injury trial experience
    • Proficiency in writing, research, and negotiation
    • Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
    • Must be able to handle complex caseloads with little supervision
    • Must be an active member of your local bar association.
    • Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
    • Superb negotiation skills and experience

    Location:

    • Full-time position based in Wilmington, NC.
