    Description

    Summary

    Eligibilities being considered and other IMPORTANT information.

    The primary purpose of this position, Equipment Specialist (Electronic) GS , is to serve as the Technical Manager and perform a wide variety of technical functions in the support of assigned electronics systems/subsystems.

    Duties

  • Perform duties involved in the acquisition phase.
  • Perform duties involved in the production phase of new or modified equipment interacts with other technical support personnel, such as but not limited to, engineering, contracting officers and private contracting personnel.
  • Perform duties involved in the phase of equipment/systems.
  • Perform duties involved in the disposal of equipment from the inventory due to lack of contractor support, no longer needed, phase out due to technology improvement, etc.
  • Perform technical review of work performed by lower graded equipment management specialists, as assigned, assisting in the resolution of the more difficult and complex problems and providing guidance on other routine matters.
