The primary purpose of this position, RECREATION SPECIALIST GS , is to perform assignments designated by the Sports and Fitness Manager to help achieve the mission of Hill AFB Fitness Program.

Duties

Provide direction, guidance, and support to the Sports and Fitness Manager regarding physical training at the unit and individual fitness level

With the concurrence of the Sports and Fitness Manager, identify, plan, promote, and carry out special events

As directed by the supervisor or higher-level specialist, plan, and budget for fitness equipment and supplies as well as computer and other technology assets required for conduction a fitness program.

Perform recurring assignments.

Under the direction of the Sports and Fitness Manager, employee is responsible for ensuring that all fitness staff have successful accomplished ancillary training, such as Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and continuing education.

Perform assignments as directed.
