    Description
    Accountant

    A local non-profit is seeking an experienced accountant to join their team and be responsible for the day-to-day duties of the finance department. Duties include reconciling bank statements, managing financial transactions, and creating journal entries.

    The ideal candidate will have their associate's degree and 3 years of accounting experience.

    Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm

    Honolulu, Oahu

    Pay


    $50,000 to $60,000 a year

    Responsibilities

    • Reconcile general ledger accounts.
    • Review and create journal entries for corporate card charges.
    • Update and report available funds for programs.
    • Provide backup coverage for cash receipts/donor data specialist.
    • Assist with daily sales balancing and post daily sales journal entries.
    • Assist with scanning and shredding documents.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications

    • Associate's degree in accounting required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
    • Proficient with computerized accounting and payroll systems.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
