Position Concept:

Assist the Head Golf Professional with the day-to-day operation.

Duties would consist of but not limited to overseeing/assist with all Tournament Operations with a focus of Ladies Golf, assist in the Instructional Programs, assist with the Junior Golf Program and provide exceptional service to all members and guests.

The Assistant Golf Professional will be encouraged to play golf with the Membership.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated individual that will play an active role in the Golf Operation.

**Essential Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the day to day golf operation in the absence of the Head Golf Professional
  • Development & implementation of golf shop standard operating procedures.
  • Must be highly motivated and in pursuit of becoming a Head Golf Professional.

Tournament Operations:

  • Oversee all 18 hole ladies, 9 hole ladies and mixed events; meeting with tournament chair's to establish budgets, formats & awards.
  • Assist with all Men's & Outside events.
  • Assist with selecting and purchasing awards for club tournaments.
  • Assist in the coordination with tournament chairperson and food and beverage department.

Outside Operations:

  • Communicate with Director of Outside Operations & Caddie Master daily
  • Ensure that the entire outside staff is providing an exceptional level of service to the members and their guests.

Golf Shop Buyer/Manager:

  • Create Visual merchandise displays
  • Shipping, Receiving Merchandise for Golf Shop
  • Manage daily business operations
  • Provide Customer Service answering phone, booking tee times, tournament registration
  • Assist with tournament billing and accounting management
  • Sales Associate

Junior Golf:

  • Oversee all aspects of Junior Golf program including PGA Junior League and Crush It Junior Schools
  • Implement, manage and direct Junior Golf Tournaments and Club Championship
  • Perform Junior Golfer Certifications/ Evaluations

Member Services:

  • Provide any and all services for members promoting and maintaining the exceptional Ridge Club experience
**About You

  • PGA PGM Associate Program Level 1 preferred
  • College degree preferred, High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Customer service experience. Expanded Golf Knowledge.
  • Proven track record of team management, organizational and coaching skills. Experience with tee sheets and inventory systems.
