**About Majordomo Meat & Fish**
**Majord?mo Meat & Fish** is a new restaurant from Chef David Chang. Pulling from a diverse range of food traditions and inspired by the energy of Las Vegas, Majord?mo Meat & Fish will be built on the DNA of its sister restaurant in Los Angeles. A majordomo is a person who makes arrangements, or takes charge for another. In that spirit, we aim to provide a lively and engaging experience for our guests.
The Events Sales Manager will secure all private & special events sales and guide all marketing activities for MDMF Meat & Fish in Las Vegas, NV in partnership with the General Manager. The responsibilities will include but not be limited to meeting all quarterly & annual sales goals, working alongside the Executive Chef, General Manager, and Beverage Manager to maximize event sales while exceeding client expectations and developing and supporting relationships with clients & guests.
**Responsibilities**
EVENT SALES
Actively develop and manage relationships with private event clientele and promote MDMF's private event program to the community
Work with Chefs and Beverage Managers to create competitive and attractive private event menus and offerings
Serve as the main point of contact for private event clients and communicate client needs to chefs and managers to ensure thesuccessful execution of private events, offsite events, large group dining, and buyouts.
In partnership with Marketing, and PR departments, develop and maintain outward facing private event-specific materials (website, printed materials, menus, social media)
Manage all aspects of private event sales, from fielding inquiries, site visits and client meetings, to developing proposals, negotiating contracts and confirming payment.
In partnership with the general manager, manage event-related finances, including pricing, sales goals, costing, client deposits, and payments to maximize profitability
Monitor monthly and quarterly event sales goals; communicate and evaluate progress against these goals with the General Manager to ensure short term and long term success
EVENT SUPERVISION
Supervise execution of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for all buyouts, private dining events, and large groups. The Events Manager must effectively communicate floor plan, menu, and payment information to all pertinent managers in advance.
In partnership with the general manager, chefs, and managers, strategically schedule themselves onsite for events to maximize guest satisfaction and develop repeat business. When present, utilize interpersonal and relationship management skills to ensure the client has a first class experience to maximize future business.
In partnership with chefs and managers, identify and procure any additional equipment or serviceware needed through third party vendors.
HOLIDAYS AND SPECIAL OFFERINGS
In partnership with the general manager, Marketing, and PR, plan, coordinate, and execute special events & holiday offerings for MDMF, including holiday-specific events, guest chef events, ticketed events, and off-site public-facing events
Serve as the main point of contact between outside special event partners and Momofuku
Execute marketing/promotional campaigns for all MDMF special events with the PR team and assist with special event social media initiatives
MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS
In partnership with the general manager, create and execute a yearly marketing and outreach plan targeted towards Las Vegas markets
Under the direction of Marketing and PR, facilitate press opportunities for MDMF, including photo and video shoots
Work with the general manager to manage charity donations and philanthropic partnerships
Develop and maintain contacts and relationships with local businesses, cultural institutions, and other key stakeholders to maximize long term sales
Drive and pursue new business, create new clients. Submit a weekly Events Report to leadership recapping off-site new business activity from the week
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
As needed, perform FOH Manager responsibilities including, but not limited to: drafting the floorplan, printing materials necessary for service, cutting staff as business permits, responding to staff emails, adjusting and approving payroll, assisting various departments of FOH and BOH, and miscellaneous opening and closing duties.
Skills & Requirements
BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
3+ years of related experience required
1+ years of supervisory experience preferred
Flexibility with respect to the demands and hours needed in this role and being willing and able to work evenings and weekends to support event servicing needs & client needs
Familiarity in the LV community, network, and strong understanding of LV-specific markets highly preferred
Ability to work independently and to handle multiple priorities & activities
Relationship management skills that allow for positive relationships with employees and managers of all levels within the organization.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop professional relationships with current or future clients.
Physical Demands
The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds, sitting for 4 to 8 hours, standing, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
