- Maintain and manage the School Nutrition Webpage including functionality, ADA compliance, collection of analytics, and working and coordinating with GaDOE Communications, IT or other agency teams as needed or requested
- Development of and maintenance of print materials, forms, resources, and graphics representing our agency and brand as needed from the Georgia School Nutrition Division or as assigned
- Direct, capture, edit, and produce digital content for a variety of uses by our Division including audio and video editing
- Format, type, and edit complex documents for publication following the GaDOE Style Guide
- Develop, review proofing, and design of all collateral produced by our School Nutrition teams
- Perform special projects as assigned, including but not limited to managing the development of content for the communications team as assigned
- Support the development, delivery, hosting, and editing of a podcast as well as producing, maintaining, editing, and uploading podcast episodes in Anchor
- Support the promotion of our mission and vision, goals, and objectives of the Georgia School Nutrition Program
- Collaborate with all areas under the School Nutrition Division as well as stakeholders
- Any duties as assigned
- Strong video experience pre- and post-production including filming, editing, and uploading to a variety of platforms
- Proficient with CANVA and ADOBE Creative Cloud specifically Premier Pro, Audition, and Photoshop
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, One Drive, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with electronic database management
- Experience in providing technical support to end users
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Summary
The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE)-School Nutrition Division are recruiting for an experienced Communications Specialist II. Under the general supervision of the Program Manager this position, plans, develops, and implements communications or outreach program, and/or public relations plan for the Georgia Department of Education School Nutrition Division. The Communications Specialist II develops informational publications and presentations and plans conferences and seminars for social or community outreach. The job responsibilities include but not limited to:

Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of communications or related experience OR Four years of communications or related experience OR One year of experience required at the lower level Communications Spec 1 (GSP040) or position equivalent.
