    Job Title: Compensation Analyst – 6+ month contract

    Location: Chicago, IL

    Industry: Banking/Financial Services

    Pay: $ $40.00

    Job Description: As a Compensation Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring our client remains competitive in the market by evaluating job positions, designing compensation packages, and implementing incentive programs aligned with the company's strategic goals. This role offers a unique blend of remote work flexibility and occasional in-office collaboration.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the HR team to design and implement compensation packages and bonus programs that support the company's strategic objectives.
    • Maintain accurate job descriptions for all positions within the organization and ensure alignment with job duties performed.
    • Evaluate job classifications and salary ranges to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
    • Calculate short-term incentives and commissions based on corporate plans and performance metrics.
    • Provide guidance to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
    • Participate in salary surveys to benchmark compensation practices against industry standards.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
    • Assist in financial planning by preparing accruals for short and long-term incentive expenses.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field preferred.
    • 2+ years of experience in employee compensation or a related HR field.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data effectively.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
