Description
General Summary
The Financial Analyst is responsible for executing various financial procedures and preparing periodic reporting requirements to support the company's Finance, Commercial and Delivery organizations.
Tasks can include assisting with the company's month end close by creating journal entries, maintaining financial schedules, and creating financial transactions.
Principal Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupport client reporting requirements including the preparation of monthly budget estimates and actual client spend schedules
Assist with the financial system setup for new customers, contract awards and pricing schedules
Assist with the monthly requirements needed to invoice, record revenue and process rebates for customers
Prepare journal entries and updating of periodic financial close schedules
Perform assigned bank reconciliations
Respond to both internal business partner and external client inquiries
Create ad hoc reporting as needed
Assist with acquisition related activities
Other duties as assigned
Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of related finance or accounting experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Accounting procedures and practical knowledge of GAAP preferred
NetSuite accounting software experience preferred
Computer skills with MS EXCEL required; addition skills with MS ACCESS preferred
Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to provide solutions and follow-up within established rules and timelines
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Able to apply established rules and procedure in performing work
Communication skills required (includes face to face, phone calls, email and professional writing)
Thoroughness
Mathematical and analytical thinking skills
Data entry skill and accuracy
Physical And Mental Requirements
Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary work station
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
This position requires regular oral/written interaction with clients, team members and management
Infrequent traveling may be required within the United States
