    Seasonal Project Management Technician - Anchorage, United States - U-Haul

In this role you will help to maintain U-Haul facilities to aid your colleagues in providing the highest standard of service to customers.     Seasonal 2-3 months, could become full time.

    Project Management Technician Minimum Qualifications:
    • Experience performing and utilizing tools and equipment in any of the following areas: carpentry, metal framing, painting, masonry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping
    • Respond promptly and efficiently to facility needs.
    • Collaborate on projects or work alone as needed.
    • Valid driver's license and a good driving record to operate a motor vehicle; adhere to all local vehicular regulations while driving
    • All qualified applicants must:

      -Follow supervisors direction and clearly communicate with supervisors and co-workers

      -Use hand and power tools applicable to trade.

      -Have basic problem solving skills.

      -Understand the fundamentals of construction and low voltage electrical work.

      -Measure, bend and install conduit and piping to house low voltage wires and cables.

      -Ensure piping complies with any applicable building codes and is according to building plans.

      -Run specified wires to specified locations, clearly label all wires, mount and connect devices where and how specified by building plans, spec sheets, and supervisor.

      -Install equipment and systems including building and storage unit intrusion detection, video surveillance, environmental detection, plus additional integrated systems and equipment related to the Max Security system.
    Work Environment:

    The work requires observing necessary safety precautions while working around moving parts, machines for building and site maintenance. The use of protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields may be required.

    Physical Demands:

    The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
