- Plans, schedules, coordinates, and tracks team's daily activities (both onsite and offshore) with necessary groups to assure activities are completed while meeting project milestones and following development processes all while continuously evaluating risks to deliverables.
- Ensure department's development processes are applied correctly, taking appropriate action when they are not.
- Create detailed software validation plan and lead requirement analysis of testing activities with the team.
- Establish and review software validation documentation per the development process; create software validation process documentation in accordance to internal and industry standards (e.g. ASPICE, ISO26262, IATF
- Prepare status reports regarding the software validation plan and KPI performance.
- Review and improve validation plans to ensure comprehensive variant coverage.
- Conduct weekly 1 on 1 review/status update meetings with direct reports.
- Conduct performance reviews and motivate the validation team to achieve department goals/targets; create training and development plan to address gaps as well as providing mentoring.
- Provide program support recommendations related to budget (tools, labor hours, cost).
- Review and approve test specification and results with onsite and offshore team.
- Explore new technologies for upcoming projects to improve software validation capabilities which meet customer requirements and strengthens corporate profitability.
- Provide supervision, guidance, leadership, and training to members within your team.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance.
- Train team members on policies and procedures and create and maintain a set of current forms and approval procedures.
- Establish goals for team and conduct reviews.
- Experience demostrating effective leadership, directly or in-directly, for multi- disciplinary teams is required.
- 7+ years of experience in validation of embedded automotive software is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) in English to work effectively with multi-cultural and geographically diverse teams, as well as experience interfacing directly with customers.
- Experience working with embedded systems within software development life cycle and implementing automated validation.
- Ability to analyze/interpret technical language and customer requirements preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle communication such as CAN/LIN/MOST/SPI/Ethernet (TCP/IP).
- Creation of detailed tests plans, strategies, and methods from internal and external requirements is required.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to read, understand and create flow diagrams, state charts, and basic schematics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Purpose of Job
The role of a Software Validation Supervisor is to lead a team comprised of onsite and offshore resources. This entails leading design and planning meetings for development of the software validation strategy and plans. Also, the supervisor will create plans, monitor day-to-day team performance, provide feedback, and identify skills gaps and training needs for all direct reports. This individual has the responsibility to test that the product meets performance as well as regulatory requirements.

Collaborates with the other teams to diagnose, identify root cause analysis of reported issues, implement corrective actions, and effectively communicate issue resolution progress.

EducationBachelor's degree in computer science or engineering with a minimum 7 years of experience OR a Master's Degree and a minimum 5 years of experience; experience preferably in the automotive industry.
