Job Summary: BASIC

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, and addressing employee inquiries regarding pay and benefits. Filing all STATE and FED payroll returns, stay on top of paying and distributing payroll deductions to appropriate agencies.

Duties: NOT LIMITED TO
- Process payroll for employees accurately and timely on a weekly basis
- Calculate wages, deductions, and overtime
- Prepare and distribute paychecks
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits
- Analyze payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with the accounting department for financial reporting
- Assist in preparing tax reports and other financial documentation
- Conduct data entry tasks related to payroll information

ALL IN SAGE 100 SOFTWARE

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and financial concepts
- MUST KNOW SAGE CONTRACTOR 100
- Ability to process certified payroll on a timely basis
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll
- Excellent communication skills to interact with employees regarding pay matters (Bi-lingual a PLUS)
- Understanding of credit cards and general ledger entries
- Experience working with human resources on payroll-related issues

Must be self-sufficient, exercise common sense, be a team player report and work closely with the controller. speaking, reading and writing in English and Spanish a HUGE PLUS. Work with projects team closely to stay in compliance with state and fed prevailing wage jobs. MUST BE KNOWLEDGEABLE in PREVAILING WAGE construction projects.
