    Description
    Nuvance Health is a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital, and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center, and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York - plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practice locations including The Heart Center and non-acute care affiliates,


    Summary:
    Exemplify standards of hospitality and service to all customers. Greet and direct visitors and their families to their destinations and be a resource for information and guidance. Always provide exceptional customer service with every interaction.


    Responsibilities:

    • Greet guests entering lobby with a sincere greeting, exhibiting proper guest relations skills, and a positive approachable attitude with every interaction.
    • Proactively assist guests in obtaining a wheelchair, provide general assistance, or accompany to their destination, as appropriate.
    • Take the initiative to maintain a safe and attractive environment within the facility and immediate property.
    • Notify security of any suspicious person or behavior, accident or circumstance that may cause damage or injury.
    • Handle complaints real time within the department. Channel complaints or problems to appropriate staff.
    • Provide concierge services to patients/residents and visitors, as appropriate.
    • Offer assistance with guest complaints/concerns by maintaining knowledge of resources and service recovery procedures.
    • Maintain knowledge of all system-wide services to assist guests in any way possible.
    • Display a caring and courteous attitude and represents the hospital in a positive manner to all persons noted above.
    • Promote and contribute positively to intra-departmental and inter-departmental relationships.
    • Maintain the confidentiality of employees and departmental information with no infractions.
    • Promote a safe and efficient working environment by adhering to hospital and department policies and procedures.
    • Adhere to Infection Control and Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures at all times.
    • Reports all incidents, irregularities, unsafe conditions, equipment and/or unusual occurrences to supervisor immediately.
    • Answer facility main phone line and appropriately transferring calls.

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED and six months of customer or guest services experience
    • Basic MS Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word and data entry skills

    Standard Hours: 24.00

    Work Shift: 24 hr./week, variable 4-8 hr. shifts, 5am-8pm

    Working Conditions:

    • Little or no manual skills / motor coord & finger dexterity
