Chartwell School is seeking a High School Mathematics teacher to join our rapidly growing team.
The appropriate candidate has a Single Subject Mathematics credential in Algebra, Geometry, and/or Calculus. A special education credential is also desirable, but not required.
We are an independent school on the Monterey Peninsula in coastal California, approximately 100 miles south of San Francisco. For 40 years Chartwell has been serving students in grades 1-12, who have been identified as having dyslexia or related language-based learning differences. Class sizes are small and teachers individualize instruction while teaching to small groups.
The successful candidate is responsible for understanding student learning profiles and meeting the needs of individual students. A solid understanding of mathematics concepts and applications is necessary. Significant experience with multi-sensory direct instruction, technology, and blended learning platforms, and project based learning is desired. A Master's degree in Mathematics and/or Special Education is preferred.
