- Ensure project budget and forecast integrity adheres to approved procedures.
- Provide quality assurance to College functional staff regarding financial tracking and cost performance.
- Analyze cost variances to identify trends and mitigate budget impacts.
- Review and oversee monthly cost and progress reports.
- Evaluate contract change orders and amendments for budget and timeline impact.
- Verify accuracy of financial sections in Proposed Board Actions.
- Review invoices for compliance and proper coding.
- Ensure task orders, change orders, and amendments adhere to budget availability and accurate cost reporting.
- Collaborate with technical leads to address budget-related issues.
- Implement company policies for cost management of capital projects with multiple funding sources.
- Provide financial information and support to College staff.
- Serve as primary contact for financial matters for assigned College(s).
- Travel to project locations as needed.
- Present data to management in an organized manner.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Adaptability to changing requirements and situations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Maintain professionalism in all communications and actions.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in program and/or project controls in construction.
- BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field. Additional experience can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience throughout the project life cycle.
- Knowledge of cost/schedule management theories, principles, and practices, including earned value management, change management, forecasting, and risk assessment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel, Proliance, Data-Warehouse, or other relevant systems.
- Experience with large capital programs and educational facilities.
