- Manages daily production schedules from the weekly supply plan and distributes them to production areas. Schedules are based on product requirements to manufacture and fill sales orders and the efficient use of labor.
- Ensure raw materials are available for the initial production according to product specifications.
- Maintain product groups in Canopy to aid in producing accurate production.
- Manage rotation raw material inventory, stock transfers, work-in-process and finished products, inventories. Effectively communicates with team members in each area to ultimately ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure orders and schedules are released to the plant daily.
- Manage all aspects of various trim and ground beef operations to optimize profitability.
- Manage product age rotation with plant personnel.
- Assist with P&L awareness and profitability performance in Ground Beef and Trim operations. Includes efficiencies, material usage, lean point measures.
- Maintain data within ECS, shop floor, and spreadsheet formulas that drive constraints, capacities, and accurate forecasts.
- Ensure customer fill rate is met at both plants and provide correction action when necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years relevant work experience; or a combination of education and experience, required.
- Experience in the Meat or Food Industry preferred.
- Excellent working knowledge of the modules Production Planning, Material Management, Inventory Management.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and technical skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, Internet, and Order processing software, Power BI advanced level.
- Ability to forecast, act quickly and accurately.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal.
- May be required to work long hours and weekends.
- Ability to work well with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
- Travel as necessary (Up to 4 times a year)
- The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud when in the production area.
- Must be able to work in cramped spaces and in poor lighting and ventilation.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance, vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
