    As the Head of Safety, you'll spearhead a transformative journey, leveraging your expertise to instill a safety-first ethos at every level of our operations.

    Core Responsibilities


    • Articulate a vision for safety excellence, set strategic goals to meet company expectations of safety excellence.
    • Cultivate a culture of safety excellence by engaging and empowering employees at all levels to take ownership of safety practices.
    • Partner with executives, leaders, technicians to drive change in the company safety culture and behaviors, for both fleet safety and occupational safety.
    • Use statistics and data to apply a risk-management approach to focus the safety team to drive change through leading indicators.
    • Design workflows that will generate the data needed to inform best practices and results.
    • Produce policies, programs and initiatives to promote the safety program, improve the company's safety record, safety culture in the field and correct identified deficiencies.
    • Lead the development and continuous improvement of safety policies and procedures.
    • Ensure that all health, safety, and environmental programs are designed to be compliant with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct periodic safety audits/inspections at jobsites to ensure compliance and support Division leaders and managers in following action plans, ensuring prompt resolution of any identified issues.
    • Work with Learning and Development to ensure all current federal, state, OSHA and other regulations are up to date and training material meets the standards.
    • Prepare and present to the senior leadership team on health and safety initiatives and performance metrics.

    a track record of leadership in safety management, demonstrating the ability to build, transform, and optimize safety programs to align with organizational goals and industry best practices.


    • Expertise in Analytics for

    Safety Management:

    A strong background in leveraging advanced analytics techniques to extract insights from diverse datasets related to safety incidents, near misses, training records, and other relevant sources.


    • Data-driven

    Decision Making:
    Proficiency in translating complex data into actionable insights is paramount.

    The candidate should demonstrate the ability to develop predictive models that anticipate potential safety risks based on historical data, enabling proactive interventions and resource allocation to mitigate those risks effectively.


    • Integration of

    Technology Solutions:
    Familiarity with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT sensors, and data visualization tools is highly desirable.

    The candidate should have a proven track record of implementing and optimizing technology-driven solutions to enhance safety monitoring, reporting, and predictive capabilities within an organizational context.


    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Effective collaboration with internal stakeholders, including safety professionals, operations managers, IT specialists, and frontline workers, is crucial. The candidate should have experience in bridging the gap between technical expertise and operational needs, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across departments.
    • Continuous Learning and Adaptation: Given the dynamic nature of safety management, demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. Strong understanding of occupational safety regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others towards a shared vision of safety excellence.
