Description
What does a great Accounting Manager (Billing) do?
A successful Accounting Manager (Billing) assists with projects, prioritizes tasks, and meets deadlines with a sense of urgency when working with tight deadlines.
The Billing Manager effectively works on multiple assignments simultaneously and exhibits strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to relate and clearly communicate with the accounting team and other departments.
How You Will Provide Meaningful ContributionsGenerate and distribute customer invoices (monthly, quarterly, annual, ad hoc) for multiple subsidiaries.
Work with Account Managers on all invoicing inquiries
Utilize our Zone Billing system to create subscriptions for customer billings.
Review and Analyze customer contracts for billing details.
Monitor aging receivables and assist in collections.
Generate Month and Quarter-end revenue accruals.
Create Month-End Reconciliations and analyze reconciling items.
Assist in multiple system implementations to achieve long-term finance goals.
Work with other accounting teams to analyze new contracts and revenue recognition.
Update FloQast with assigned responsibilities.
Interviews prospective employees and chooses the best applicant based on skills, knowledge, and abilities required for the job and assists with performance evaluations.
Trains and oversees employees involved in billing functions.Directs assigned tasks and provides assistance as needed.
Basic Qualifications For Consideration
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field mandatory.
5+ years of accounting experience.
3+ years of people leader experience to effectively manage and lead a team.
Must be highly organized and eager to learn more about the business.
Display a high degree of integrity and professionalism while working with financial documents.
Previous client billing experience required.
Must possess a thorough understanding of revenue recognition rules in accordance with ASC 606.
Analytical mindset and ability to resolve accounting problems with multiple variables.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Determination to constantly improve processes and streamline workflows.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Skills / Experience
CPA candidate preferred.
Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
NetSuite is a plus.
Public accounting experience is a plus.

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Salary range:
$90,000 - $110,000
