    Chesapeake Systemsis looking for an Estimator to join our Engineered parts group and hit the ground running. Thisposition requires correspondence with the sales team, customers, andmanufacturers. The position requires extensive knowledge in core product linesand proficiency in making equipment selections

    Essential Functions

    • Develop general working knowledge of Chesapeake Systems and the products, services, and solutions that we represent
    • Work with estimating team to "take-offs" jobs and compile a list of bidding opportunities using contractor's request, construction, and customer websites/FTP sites. Transfer this information into our web-based calendar and shared document site.
    • Learn and use factory selection software to select, price, and provide the best equipment selection for each application based on the customers' request and bid documents
    • Communicate and coordinate with sales team and other divisions to ensure that bids and quotes are prepared properly, and the entire Chesapeake Systems product offering is covered, specifically when basis of design
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree ina technical or business-related field is preferred but not required.
    • 2+ years ofexperience in the HVAC industry performing project estimating or related workis preferred.
    • Proficient inWindows environment, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook,Excel, TEAMS, Adobe, etc.
    • Collaborativeattitude that thrives in a team-based environment while supporting the team asan individual contributor.
    • Excellentcommunication (verbal and written), coordination, and teamwork skills.
