    Description

    Position Description:

    The Accounting Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and annual audits. Additionally, they will handle FP&A tasks such as budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis. The ideal candidate should be a motivated self-starter with experience in internal controls and a solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and demonstrate proficiency in managing high transaction volumes and driving continuous improvement.

    To excel in this role, the Accounting Operations Manager must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with senior management, internal and external stakeholders, and lead the accounting team. The individual should also exhibit adaptability, teamwork, and a commitment to achieving results.

    Position Qualifications:

    • Degree (CPA or MBA preferred)
    • 5+ years of experience with supervisory roles
    • Experience in entity consolidation and audits
    • Proficiency in financial systems migration
    • Public accounting background is advantageous

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis

    • Lead the annual budgeting process
    • Prepare financial reports and conduct analysis for senior management

      • Treasury Management

      • Support CFO in treasury functions

      Accounting and General Ledger

      • Generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial analyses
      • Ensure compliance with GAAP by reviewing and implementing accounting policies
      • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
      • Manage month-end close processes

      Billings, Collections, Vendor and Accounts Payable Management

      • Oversee accounts receivable and ensure timely collections
      • Manage accounts payable and optimize cash flow

        • Inventory Management

        • Supervise inventory costing and reconciliation

        Annual Financial Statement Audit

        • Coordinate the annual audit and interact with external auditors

        Tax Compliance

        • Assist with federal and state income tax compliance filings
        • Handle state sales and use tax compliance

        System Enhancements

        • Implement system improvements to enhance accounting efficiencies

          • Business Contributions

          • Conduct business analysis and provide recommendations to management
          • Support acquisition due diligence and integration processes
          • Participate in cross-functional company projects

          Personnel Management

          • Lead and develop the team with defined KPIs and initiatives
          • Conduct quarterly and annual performance assessments
