    Description

    A leading international manufacturing organization is seeking a Global EHS Leader to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the overall EHS strategy. Working closely with the VP of EHS, the Global EHS Leader will help to standardize the EHS program on a global level, and drive continuous improvement across all operations. The incumbent will directly manage a team of SME EHS leaders, and will be tasked with providing leadership across the business and overseeing organizational compliance with local, state and federal EH&S regulations.

    ***Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to the Cleveland, Minneapolis or Chicago area - no remote base***

    The role:

    • Develop, strategize and implement a long-term plan for the global EHS function
    • Influence senior business leaders worldwide to drive and maintain world-class EHS performance
    • Direct and develop policy to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations in multiple continents and across 50+ facilities, including new acquisitions
    • Promote continuous improvement efforts in the EHS function, integrating tactical and strategic EHS planning

    The candidate:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety Sciences, or related technical field is required
    • 10+ years' progressive EHS experience within the manufacturing industry, with strategic EHS leadership experience at large, matrixed organizations
    • CSP, CIH, CHMM certifications preferred
    • Demonstrated experience of successful EHS program management across multiple sites on a global scale
    • Experience leading teams of EHS professionals in a global company
    • Ability to travel up to 20% internationally
