    Description


    A leading international manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior EHS Director to provide leadership to its EHS strategy, and assist the company in achieving world-class EHS performance.


    Working closely with the Global VP of EHS & Sustainability, the Senior EHS Director will drive EHS excellence across the global organization.

    This role will directly manage a team of senior-level EHS professionals.

    Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to the Cleveland, Minneapolis or Chicago area - no remote base


    The role:
    Develop, strategize and implement a long-term plan for the global EHS function
    Influence senior business leaders worldwide to drive and maintain world-class EHS performance, providing leadership and guidance at all levels of the organization globally
    Promote continuous improvement efforts in the EHS function, integrating tactical and strategic EHS planning

    Manage across the full breadth of the global EHS function, including EHS audit functions; EHS acquisition due diligence and integration processes; process safety; fire protection; remediation programs; occupational health and industrial hygiene; environmental compliance and regulatory reporting; sustainability and ESG projects, etc.


    The candidate:
    Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety Sciences, or related technical field is required
    CSP, CIH, CHMM certifications preferred
    Master's degree in a relevant field of study preferred
    10-15+ years of progressive EHS experience within the manufacturing industry, with strategic EHS leadership experience at large, matrixed organizations
    Demonstrated experience of successful EHS program management across multiple sites on a global scale
    Experience leading teams of senior EHS professionals in a global, matrixed company
    Ability to travel up to 20%, including internationally
