    Job Description*Position is open to candidates residing in the Mountain and Pacific time zones only.


    Position Summary:

    The Director of Sales is responsible for achieving and exceeding revenue and operating goals in the Financial Institution industry through management of all resources.

    The Director will work with Senior Leadership to set the strategic direction for the team, oversee management of accounts, attainment of revenue quota's and performance goals, and to manage and mentor the sales associates.


    QualificationsKey Responsibilities:

    Drive strategies to maintain and grow the sales vertical and key accounts Meet and exceed the assigned revenue targetsEnsure prospecting/new business development expectations are being met by sellersFocus team on selling with data and insights; selling integrated/omni-channel solutions to best meet the clients initiativesLead and mentor the team on: selling with insights, creating a story or vision for clients that leads to proposing creative omni-channel solutionsResponsible for overall success, and associate understanding, of all phases of the sales processParticipate in key account and new business meetings as needed.

    Facilitate relationships with key clientsEffectively partner with Print and Digital Sellers, Vertical sales associates and Client Strategy (Marketing) to win and secure revenue opportunitiesUnderstand and effectively communicate all portions of the business to all internal and external stakeholdersEnsure appropriate support departments are properly engaged and meeting the needs of the teamManage and mentor team:Provide strategic insights and support for all Sales Associates.

    Mentor New Business Development, Sales Executives and Sales Managers by supporting their growth, vertical expertise, management of accounts and ability to drive new business opportunitiesEnsure all associates are meeting and exceeding their revenue targets, performance goals and ability to exhibit the core competenciesEnsure an effective, collaborative and supportive relationship between product sellers (print and digital)Evaluate employee knowledge and skill gaps to ensure they are receiving any training/upskilling neededAddress performance concerns in a timely and effective mannerEnsure all sales activity for associates is accurately and timely captured and updated in salesforce.comDevelop and mentor sales associates toward individual career goalsImplement processes, policies, procedures and strategic initiatives.

    Support and implement new products, technology and strategies as rolled out to the sales organizationProvide feedback to senior management on industry trends, strategies and challengesEstablish/maintain working relationships with internal personnelEducation & Knowledge:

    Bachelor's degree preferably in the fields of Business, Marketing, or Communications; or equivalent combination of education and experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeExperience / Skills and Competencies:10+ years successful sales experience and displays the required proficiency in:Banking/Financial industrySkilled at selling through creating a compelling vision or storyHighly effective at utilization of data and insights as a selling toolProspecting/new business developmentAccount managementSelling multiple / integrated products3+ years leadership experience preferredExperience in sales reporting/forecastingAbility to effectively coach to successProven success selling to the C-suiteProven sales experience including lead generation, solution selling and closing sales.

    Successful demonstration of Storytelling/creating a vision when selling to a client. Ability to mentor, lead, and develop that skill for associates.
    Strategic thinking.

    Proven leader in sales results including lead generation, solution selling and closing salesExhibit expert skills in:
    qualification, conceptual selling, presentation delivery and negotiationAdapt to change including the market, products and internal company initiativesExcellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsStrong influencer and negotiator with key decision makersOrganized, detail-oriented and thorough approach to all responsibilitiesWorking knowledge of and Microsoft OfficeConsistent track record of success in achieving and exceeding annual quota and business objectivesExude credibility (product knowledge and professionalism)

    Communication with clients and internal co-workers – all levels of management, business leadership, customers, suppliers and other internal/external entities as requiredHighly effective at presentations
