Kelley Trump

Kelley Trump DNP, MSN, RN, CNE, COI

Dr. Kelley Trump is currently teaching in the graduate program at Weber State University, Ann Taylor Dee School of Nursing. She has been a registered nurse since 1982. She completed her RN at Ricks College, and her BSN and MSN in nursing education from Western Governors University. Dr. Trump completed her DNP at Samford University in nursing administration with a nurse educator concentration. She is a certified nurse educator accredited through the National League for Nursing and Certified Online Instructor through LERN. Her life-long passions are nursing and facilitating student learning in clinical, online, or face-to-face courses.   

Her experience in nursing for the past 40 years includes acute care in med/surgical, operating room, kidney transplant team, newborn ICU, pediatric ICU, pain management, school nursing, and nurse educator for BSN students. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Gamma Eta, Nu Nu, and Psi Upsilon Chapters. As a member of the Collegium Aesculapium Foundation, she is actively engaged in the Helping Babies Breathe program which teaches maternal/newborn resuscitation skills to practitioners in developing countries. Her research interests include the prevention of unintended retained foreign objects during surgery, increased patient safety through evidence-based practice, and non-pharmacological pain management strategies. She is a certified yoga teacher, and enjoys scuba diving and playing pickle-ball.
