Position Summary
The Director of Workforce Development Programs at Austin Urban Technology Movement (AUTMHQ)
directs, steers, implements, and maintains all AUTMHQ external and internal programs and program participant (AUTMite) services to advance AUTMHQ's workforce development objectives.
Oversee activities so that approved deliverables are completed on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives. Collaborate to ensure the organization's many programs, events, and initiatives are efficiently harnessed by the larger community.

:
Collaborate with management, administrators, volunteers, and other stakeholders to implement and grow AUTMite services and programs.
Supervise the Program Coordinators and staff to ensure the efficient operation of AUTMite programs, scheduling, and components; assess support needs and materials for delivering services which conform to established guidelines.
Provide leadership to Program Coordinator, volunteers, interns, and other staff, solicit feedback, and analyze the effectiveness of programs.Report to funders
Ensure AUTMite exposure and registration for wraparound services.
Ensure AUTMite placement in jobs and attendance at events.
Compile and evaluate data to analyze challenges, ensure compliance with grant funding and organization policies, track and monitor program parts and results.
Respond to issues and concerns involving staff, AUTMites, volunteers, and external partners. Resolve conflicts in policies and regulations. Address community concerns and requests.Develop processes, plans, reports, analyses, recommendations, procedures regarding AUTMite recruitment, placement, retention, progress to completion and employment.
Manage risk, resources, dropout prevention and data analysis; innovate.
Manage and work with staff to identify AUTMites who are not making adequate programmatic progress and design appropriate interventions.
Suggest processes to improve program functions.
Build relationships with partners, peers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Strengthen processes that enhance volunteer engagement.
Establish policies and procedures that promote company culture and strategic vision.
Brainstorm comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
Brainstorm strategies to steer the company in a positive direction.
Work together with
Senior Director and
COO and key participants to compile in-kind reporting.
Create spreadsheets, reports, and other documents.
Analyze, synthesize, and course correct based on data and metrics.
Design and implement sound business strategies, plans, and procedures.
Drive the company's operating capabilities to result in AUTMite satisfaction and retention, completion, to increase all stakeholder engagement, and to achieve company goals.
Report about programming accurately and regularly.Assist with marketing initiatives and promotion.
Monitor and report on operating costs within functional areas; alert
Senior Director and
COO of cost and labor overrun; recommend solutions.
Participate in expansion activities (partnership building, establishing strategic alliances, etc.).
Manage relationships with interns, partners, consultants, governments, and other stakeholders.
Manage relationships to cultivate present and future opportunities.
Attend and participate in regular meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Bachelor's degree in business administration or related major, or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA, preferred.
5+ years of relevant work experience in program management, required.
2+ years of relevant work experience in program delivery, preferred.
Experience managing staff and vendor relationships, required.
Knowledge of workforce development laws and regulations, training programs, sought-after industry skills, and pathways toward various technology industry careers.
Must be PC and technology proficient, and engaging when conducting presentations.
Able to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and to be conscientious about assignments.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with superiors, colleagues, and individuals internally and externally.
Able to be professional in dealing with others and adroit at maintaining constructive working relationships.
