Position Description:

The Assistant Director of Prosper Programs manages cross-program functions, including outreach, data and operations; assists in managing a complex funding structure; and helps to ensure high employee performance and engagement across the Prosper Programs team.


Primary Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Data & Grants Administration
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and support to Operations & Data Manager to ensure strong performance and engagement
  • Oversee data collection and analysis
  • Help ensure all program decisions are informed by data
  • Ensure ontime submission of highquality grant reports, including narrative, budget information and program outputs and outcomes
  • In conjunction with the Director of Prosper Programs, the Prosper Programs Senior Manager of Grants and Data and the Grants and Contracts Manager, monitor grantfunded expenditures to ensure compliance with all funder requirements
  • Monitor progress toward program and grant goals, anticipate problems, and provide troubleshooting support as needed to ensure all goals are met
  • Help with grant proposals, as needed
  • Help with overall Prosper Program budget creation and management
  • Operations
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and support to the Data & Operations Manager.
  • Ensure that operating procedures promote empathetic and efficient service delivery and provide ease of access for all clients seeking services
  • Ensure that building operations at both Prosper Centers run smoothly so that program staff and volunteers can focus on providing high quality services
  • Ensure that Prosper Program staff are trained on operating and safety procedures
  • Outreach
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and support to Outreach staff to ensure strong performance and employee engagement
  • Develop marketing plans and strategies that generate enough client traffic for Prosper Programs to reach client service goals
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with communitybased organizations that serve low income and underserved community members
  • Oversee grassroots outreach activities such as community events and flyer distribution
  • Oversee digital media outreach activities such as social media posts and ads
  • Oversee outreach to residents of Foundation Communities affordable housing communities
  • Work with the Director of Prosper Programs and Strategic Projects Manager to build a team of highly engaged and highperforming staff
  • Foster a team culture of high performance and engagement
  • Coordinate the annual and ongoing performance evaluation process
  • Support the development and tracking of program and individual SMARTIE goals
  • Help develop and implement initiatives to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion across the Prosper team
  • Help to research market salaries to ensure competitive pay rates for Prosper staff
  • Help to identify career pathways for Prosper staff and ensure staff are prepared for advancement opportunities
  • Maintain confidentiality of all personnel information
  • Maintain an understanding of all Prosper Center programming

Minimum Requirements

  • 24 years of experience supervising or leading a team
  • 24 years of program management experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive, flexible and able to work independently
  • Able to respond to problems quickly and creatively
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbally and in writing
  • Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in grant budgeting
  • Experience supervising or leading a large team
  • Experience with Seasonal programming and Volunteer Operations

Working Conditions
The work conditions usually take place in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is seated in an office setting and is regularly required to see, talk and hear.

The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.


Compensation:75,000/annual
