Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for program management aligned with the manufacturing objectives.
  • Define program goals, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead a team of program managers to drive project execution and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to program managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments, including manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their requirements, address concerns, and provide regular updates on program status and progress.
  • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact program delivery and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
  • Monitor and assess program risks throughout the project lifecycle, taking proactive measures to mitigate and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Define KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate program performance and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the program management function, implementing best practices, tools, and methodologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and creativity, encouraging team members to explore new ideas and approaches to enhance program delivery.
  • Technical knowledge specific to manufacturing processes, including materials, equipment, and production methods, is crucial.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and address technical challenges effectively with organizationwide impact.
  • Expert proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma is essential for planning, executing, and monitoring manufacturing projects. This includes skills in project scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and budgeting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in program management within a manufacturing environment, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high levels of performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable.
