    ABOUT THIS POSITION
    St. Michael's is recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst to support a client within the Intelligence Community (IC). As the Senior Financial Analyst, your role will involve providing oversight and guidance to team members involved in PP&E valuation analysis, financial analysis, NFR remediation, and policy review/formulation. You will play a crucial part in contributing directly to the work effort. This client-facing position will leverage your previous experience in audit, audit remediation, and leadership. The core value of Dependability is essential in this role as you will be actively involved in various workstreams and reporting findings to the client.

    LOCATION
    Springfield, VA (100% On-Site)

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
    • Minimum of 12 years of overall experience.
    • At least 8 years of specialized experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) or the IC supporting audit and/or audit readiness and remediation
    • A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a team lead
    • Holder of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance, Accounting, or relevant work background. Academic qualifications can be substituted for years of experience, and vice versa based on the following:
      • 2 years of education = 1 year of experience.
      • 2 years of experience = 1 year of education.
    • Active TS Clearance (with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility and Counterintelligence Polygraph).

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Serve as a hands-on Team Lead, offering oversight and guidance to team members while actively contributing to the work effort
    • Analyze Notices of Findings and Recommendations (NFRs) from external auditors and devise recommendations and milestones for Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) based on financial statement assertions
    • Utilize expertise in asset management (acquisition, administration, disposal) and analyze data from various sources to develop accounting recommendations
    • Utilize audit knowledge to facilitate reassertion processes aiding the client in achieving an unmodified audit opinion
    • Evaluate datasets required to address the NFRs and CAPs
    • Interpret DoD guidance on property (PP&E, IUS, Real Property)
    • Apply critical thinking to draw conclusions
    • Develop or update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process narratives and flowcharts
    • Engage in written and verbal communications with Government POCs at all organizational levels
