Job Summary:


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care services.

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping clients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

This position requires experience in vital signs monitoring, medication administration, dementia care, and meal preparation.


Duties:


  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assist with mobility and transfers
  • Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up
  • Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings
  • Follow care plans and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals

Experience:


  • Previous experience in personal care or a related field is preferred
  • Familiarity with dementia care techniques is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols is required
  • Experience working in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings is a plus
  • Ability to cook and prepare meals based on dietary needs and preferences

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Empathy and compassion for individuals requiring personal care assistance
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules

Note:
This is a paid position.


Pay:
$ $22.25 per hour
