    Description

    GCyber is hiring an Application Management SME to support the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). The Application Management SME will advise and direct the contractor team managing enterprise and mission applications to ensure the availability, performance, and security of the application.

    As the Application Management SME, you will:

    • Advise and direct team members managing enterprise and mission applications to ensure the availability, performance, and security of all applications.
    • Provide expertise in the architecture, deployment, and sustainment of EMC VMware ESX virtual hosts, Virtual Machines, Storage Area Network volume management, and Microsoft SharePoint sites.
    • Provide daily operation, monitoring, and administration of all distributed software applications and peripheral devices (e.g. printers, scanners), firmware, middleware, and operating systems that are used in the operation of systems.
    • Perform system operation and administration of large-scale active-active geographical clusters using a government-purchased clustering tool, such as Dell EMC AutoStart or Symantec Veritas Clustering Server and clustered applications for Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL), Autonomy/Verity K2/IDOL and Telos AMHS platform.
    • Support the management, deployment, and sustainment of all unclassified and classified COTS, GOTS, and custom-built applications.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Active DoD Top Secret clearance
    • BS in computer engineering, computer information systems, telecommunications, or management information systems, or 5 recent years of documented relevant experience.
    • DoD 8570 IAT II certification. (Security+, CCNA - Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
    • Computing Environment (CE) Certification: Recent and relevant technical certification.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage small to large applications in a complex environment.
    • Experience in managing mission-critical applications configured to support resource relocations when needed.
    • Knowledge of application management on Windows Server 2012 and higher and RedHat Linux 7.0 and higher.
    • Experience in event management of applications experiencing service impact.
    • Minimum three years of work-related experience in the following areas: networks, physical and virtual servers, systems management, public key Infrastructure, IT customer support, VMWare technologies, database administration (Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle), web server and application administration (IIS and Apache), application security, and project management.
    • Knowledge of current information technologies, computing platforms, and network systems, such as: cloud computing, server virtualization, unified communications, collaboration tools, and enterprise services.
    • Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with the highest levels of management.
    • Must possess proven technical ability in the management, deployment, and sustainment of COTS, GOTS, and custom-built applications.
    • ITILv4 certification preferred.

    • Ambulate throughout an office.
    • Ambulate between several buildings.
    • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.
