    Job Description
    • Coordinate procurement strategies for VBC in-house VMX branded products
    • Manage lumber commodity buying and strategies across all factories
    • Negotiate favorable prices and terms with global vendors
    • Build and maintain good relationships with commodity suppliers and distributors
    • Study market trends and identify risks in sourcing strategies
    • Manager, create, and implement policies and processes surrounding commodity buying
    • Coordinate supply and inventory of VMX items with factory Purchasing Teams
    • Implement Customs Compliance Manual and training
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards governing imports
    • Build 3rd party sales platforms including 3PL logistics as necessary
    • Expand revenue streams for VMX products
    • Manage carriers for land and sea transport globally
    • Negotiate intermodal rates and contracts with carriers
    • Implement strategies to improve freight costs
    • Oversee team interactions with freight forwarders
    • Work cross-functionally to support staff across the organization
    • Support all ERP process requirements
    Qualifications
    • Knowledge of the construction industry and materials
    • Experience with lumber commodity buying
    • Prior experience sourcing and importing goods from overseas
    • Strong leadership skills & team builder
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills
    • Computer skills; Excel, ERP, Microsoft Office
    • Team player among all levels of the organization working together to achieve business objectives
