    GL Accountant / Assistant Controller

    Location:
    Anchorage, AK

    Pay:
    $30 - $40 PH W/ Benefits


    COMPANY INFO:
    Opti Staffing Group is excited to partner with a leading commercial property management company in Anchorage, AK. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented GL Accountant / Assistant Controller to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting our continuous growth.

    WHAT YOU'


    LL DO:
    Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
    Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
    Compile financial data and provide insights into financial performance in coordination with various departments.
    Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance financial control.
    Handle accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate and timely transaction recording.
    Participate in budgeting and financial forecasting, providing essential data to support business decisions.
    Assist with tax preparation and audits, and identify opportunities for tax savings.
    Implement financial management best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
    Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
    Collaborate with the finance team to drive overall financial performance and business growth.


    REQUIREMENTS:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a preference for experience in property management or real estate.
    Solid understanding of GAAP and financial principles.
    Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi) and MS Office Suite.
    Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
    Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
    A commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of accounting best practices.
