- Program Management and Development
- Lead the planning and implementation of a robust internship program.
- Develop strategies to expand and enhance the program in alignment with educational objectives and industry trends.
- Partnership Coordination
- Coordinate with alumnae, local organizations, and businesses to obtain internship opportunities for students off campus.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with faculty/staff and across academic departments to identify and develop meaningful internship opportunities for students.
- Ensure all internship opportunities align with academic programs and enhance the professional development of students.
- Collaborate with the Development, Engagement, and Admissions teams along with the President's office to identify possible internship partners.
- Student Engagement
- Identify and recruit students for internship placements based on their interests, skills, and academic goals.
- Provide ongoing support to students throughout their internship experience, including orientation, progress monitoring, and feedback sessions.
- Liaison to Faculty/Staff & External Community Partners
- Serve as the primary point of contact between students and internship supervisor/mentor.
- Develop relationships with local community partners; work with the Dean of Student Wellbeing and Safety to ensure that all clearance and code of conduct training protocols are in place prior to student placements.
- Facilitate communication between all community partners (external and internal) and collaborate, as appropriate, with school leadership to appropriately respond to any issues that arise during the internship period.
- Design, manage, and implement Career Day for students in collaboration with the Advancement team.
- Program Evaluation
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of internship placements and program activities. Collect feedback from students and Faculty/Staff/External organizations to make data-driven improvements.
- Develop an evaluation tool for students and community partners and evaluate the data quarterly and at the end of each year.
- Compliance and Administration
- Maintain the internship database, and collaborate with the school's marketing department to market and promote the program. Ensure the program complies with all institutional policies and regulations.
- Manage program documentation, including applications, agreements, and evaluations.
- Professional Development
- Organize workshops, lunch and learns, and training sessions for students to develop additional skills that are beneficial for their internships and future careers.
- Coach and support students as they develop LinkedIn profiles, resumes, and cover letters.
- Teach students interviewing skills, decision-making processes, email etiquette, workplace behavior/etiquette, and how to interact with employers.
- Invite guest speakers to assist with these workshops or trainings for students.
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 3-5 years of prior demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Experience in mentoring, advising, or coaching students is highly desirable.

Position Summary
The Internship Director plays a crucial role in bridging academic learning with real-world experience. This position will build and oversee the internship program where students are provided with hands-on work experience through external community partnerships. This is a unique opportunity for students to apply classroom knowledge in work settings, thereby enhancing their professional skills and readiness for their careers ahead. This program further enables students to live out our motto, Not Words, but Deeds.
