- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of networking hardware, software, and applications e.g. data network wiring, switch port configuration, switch and router configuration and deployment, VLAN configuration and trunking, DNS/DHCP configuration, firewall concepts and implementation, and troubleshooting;
- Network monitoring experience;
- Knowledge of network security concepts;
- Design, order, and maintain equipment contracts for data center assets including cooling units, power units, and network equipment;
- Exemplary customer service skills and the agility to handle unusual technical requests.
- Experience with Cisco routers and switches;
- Networking concepts of MAB and NAC;
- Knowledge of Power infrastructure (i.e., rack PDUs, power panels, floor PDUs, UPSs, generators,) in order to recommend power needs for servers;
- Monitoring using Data Center Environmental sensors (i.e., temperature, humidity, water, smoke, and airflow);
- Cooling equipment (i.e., CRACs/CRAHs, cooling towers, and chillers);
- Basic Linux systems experience;
- Knowledge of a UNIX scripting language (e.g. perl, bash, etc.);
- Oversee inventory management for all equipment in the data centers, including location, age, price, and contacts.

The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. Since that time, the college has grown into a world-class leader in research and education. The College consists of five Schools that provide specialized and general computing education to the entire campus. Job SummaryProvide unit level technical leadership and/or expert advice and problem solving in support of a wide variety of users systems and applications. Position requires management and analysis of unique issues/problems which may be without precedent and typically functions with a high degree of autonomy. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: users within assigned unit which include management, faculty and staff personnel. This position typically will advise and counsel: senior unit management. This position will supervise: NA (team leadership only).

Provide technical team leadership to include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes and resources

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Six to eight years of job related experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field with six (6) or more years job related experience. Higher Education experience preferred.

Salary Range: $88, 760 - $110,000
