    Job Description :
    Capgemini Engineering is seeking a skilled HVAC Controls System Validation and Root Cause Engineer.

    This role will be pivotal in supervising the software validation processes for HVAC systems within automotive vehicle programs, specifically focusing on Automatic Temperature Control, Manual Temperature Control, and overall system climate control comfort logic.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Develop and complete comprehensive validation and testing plans for HVAC controls.

    Document issues, perform follow-up testing to verify the effectiveness of corrective actions, and share lessons learned with global validation teams.

    Drive continuous improvement in validation processes.

    Own the investigation and resolution of root causes for systemic/interface issues in assembly plants, including the management of diagnostic trouble codes and ensuring vehicles pass end-of-line tests.

    Address root cause and resolve issues in customer vehicles related to HVAC control logic, calibrations, or CAN communication.


    Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university.

    Proven experience with embedded controls hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) validation or vehicle-level validation of ECUs, focusing on functional performance and CAN/LIN bus communications.

    Proficiency in CAN/LIN bus systems, circuit analysis, Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow, and/or tools like Vector CANoe, CANape, or CAPL scripting.
    Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve HVAC control issues in both development and volume production stages.
    Solid understanding of Microcontrollers, ECU hardware design, and familiarity with BUS tools, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment.
    Strong leadership skills, excellent organizational capabilities, and effective communication skills.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

    Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R), control plans, and agile software development.

    Proficiency in using proactive quality tools such as Design for Six Sigma, and/or reactive quality tools like Kepner-Tregoe or Shainin.
