- Prepares capacity/traffic studies for use or review by others.
- Develops performance & capacity
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or scientific field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 10+ years' experience working as a capacity analyst role, including significant experience with data modeling, in a company in a relevant industry such as a provider of telecom services, internet services, or datacenter services
- Proven leadership and organization skills.
- Ability to manage the development and implementation of strategic capacity plans.
- Ability to identify market trends for local, regional, national and international services and identify potential strategies.
- Strong coordination and multitasking skills; positive, goal-oriented attitude and demeanor to work through roadblocks, motivate internal and external dependencies, and bring about project closure.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both as an individual contributor and member of a cross-functional team.
- Constantly seeking areas for improvement in the way we do things.
- Extensive knowledge with Juniper, Nokia, and Arris systems.
- Extensive administrative experience with Cisco WAN Automation Engine (Formerly Cariden MATE)
- Experience with programming languages: SQL, Python, Perl, PHP, Javascript, Bash
- Experience administering Linux operating systems
- Regularly required to talk and hear
- Frequently required to sit, stand, bend at the knees and waist
- Required to use hands to type, handle objects and paperwork
- Required to reach and hold on to items at chest level or reach above the shoulder
- Required to use close vision and be able to focus
- Must be able to perform computer functions and operate routine office equipment.
- Must be able to perform moderate walking throughout WOW offices.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to travel for business purposes on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to physically move and set up various computer equipment as required (50 or more pounds).
- Must be flexible to adjust schedule to cover various shifts.

The Capacity Planning Engineer IV is responsible for planning end-to-end network capacity to ensure performance is optimized.
This position is responsible for modeling the entire network using industry standard software, planning strategically given existing and predicted traffic demands, and working with boundary partners to ensure proper monitoring and reporting is being maintained.
