    Responsibilities
    • Preparing, recording, reporting, and/or analyzing moderately complex internal financial information in compliance with applicable accounting guidance, regulatory requirements and rating agency guidelines, within an appropriate control environment.
    • Preparing, recording, reporting, and/or analyzing moderately complex external financial information in compliance with applicable accounting guidance, regulatory requirements and rating agency guidelines, within an appropriate control environment.
    • Reconciling and/or reviewing moderately complex general ledger accounts and assessing the appropriate accounting treatment under management direction.
    • Provide support to others.

    Some overtime and weekends may be required. This position has the possibility of remote work two days a week after initial training period.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (or equivalent) degree with a focus in Accounting
    • At least one year of experience in the insurance accounting field or equivalent experience in a business environment, including SAP/GAAP applications, or equivalent public accounting experience is preferred.
    • CPA Preferred.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
    • Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
    • Knowledge of computer applications including Excel and Word.
    • Self-starter, with a superior work ethic, a high level of integrity, and a commitment to excellence in both personal and business affairs
