    What does a work environment look like at Vouch?Vouch is a Virtual First Workplace with SF, Chicago, and NYC office locations.

    This role can be based anywhere in the U.S. as long as you can work our Vouch core collaboration hours (8:30 am-2:30 pm Pacific Time.)

    This position is not eligible for employment in the following locations:
    SF Bay Area and NY Metro

    Role Responsibilities:


    As an Accounting Manager at Vouch, you'll have the unique opportunity to assist in building foundational accounting processes, controls, and tools that will allow us to grow and scale into the future.

    You will be part of the Finance team and focus primarily on accounting and reporting, buildout and mapping of key processes, and partner with various cross-functional teams on ad-hoc projects and initiatives.

    The ideal candidate is someone who loves a challenge; who can pick-up unstructured tasks or projects and run with them to the finish line, someone who is comfortable in excel and dealing with large data sets as well as challenging results and digging into anomalies.

    Prior Insurance experience is preferred but not required, someone with the drive to learn a new industry would be a great asset and contribute a unique perspective.

    The role is perfect for someone that enjoys accounting but wants more than routine monthly tasks.


    Job Duties:


    Manage day-to-day transactions related to the general ledger, revenue recognition, financial reporting, payables and receivables, and payrollLead monthly accounting close processes, reconciliations, and consolidationsIncrease financial reporting accuracy and efficiency through targeted process improvementsIdentify and coordinate enhancements for increased utilization of internal systems and financial integrationsDevelop strong internal controls and accounting process/policy documentationCreate and maintain detailed financial reporting for senior management, third party partners, and regulatory agencies.

    Ensure that records are maintained according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and statutory accounting principlesProject manage the annual audit process and maintain relationship with outside auditorsAbout you:5 to 8 years of progressive accounting experienceBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or businessCPA preferred but not requiredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsStrong organizational skillsStrong analytical skillsAbility to manage large and complex data setsAbility to work without direct supervision and efficiently manage tasks and meet deadlinesProcess and results-orientedExcellent oral and written communication skillsNice to have:Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment with fluctuating prioritiesPublic accounting experienceExperience with NetSuiteExperience with SQL and database queryingExperience with Google SuiteA background in insurance or other regulated categoriesVouch provides a number of benefits to help you bring your best self to work:Competitive compensation and equity packagesHealth, dental, and vision insuranceParental leaveFlexible vacation time (Unlimited PTO)

    Wellness allowance ($80/month)Technology allowance ($100/month)Salary Range:
    The pay range for this role is: $120,000 to $135,000 per year.

    Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and are one part of our total compensation package that also includes benefits and other perks.

    We also include stock options in all compensation packages and believe all Vouch employees should have the opportunity to become owners in the company.

    Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skill set, location, and business need.

    The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
