    Claims Adjuster - Lost Time Worker's Compensation

    Location:
    Chicago, IL/ Dallas, TX/ Hybrid
    Duration: 6 months with possible contract to hire


    Description:


    A Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster must investigate, analyze, and determine the nature and extent of an injury to apply specific statutory benefits according to various jurisdictional rules.


    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze first reports of injury and the compensability of work accidents, oversee the treatment recommendations, promptly contact insureds and injured workers, conduct accurate and timely investigations and evaluate appropriate exposures for reserves.
    • Adjusters must maintain an active diary; monitor diary to achieve timely development of file and timely disposition of the claim
    • Recognize and pursue recovery where possible; adhere to all statutory regulations and unfair claim practices act;
    • Effectively communicate with all internal and external customers.
    • Knowledge of insurance policies, investigative techniques, legal requirements and regulations.
    • Ability to work with a wide a Telecommunications and Media company of people
    • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers;
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Customer service orientation; strong analytical and negotiation skills

    Education/Experience:

    • High school diploma or Bachelor's.
    -5-6+ Years experience.
