    00 Salary/yearTravel PercentageUp to 50% Job ShiftDayResponsibilitiesBUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGERThe Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in the company's growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and expanding CDG's market presence.

    They work closely with our leadership team to define and execute business development strategies, drive revenue growth, and contribute to the company's overall success.

    The Business Development Manager will report to the Principals. This position is Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).


    Core ResponsibilitiesMarket Research and Analysis:
    Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients.
    Analyze industry data to stay ahead of market changes and competitor activities.
    Monitor and report on industry news and developments.


    Client Relationship Management:
    Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
    Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.
    Collaborate with project teams to ensure client satisfaction.


    Lead Generation and Sales:
    Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive lead generation.
    Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
    Prepare and present compelling proposals and sales pitches.


    Networking and Partnerships:
    Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to establish a strong professional network.
    Explore potential partnerships with other companies in related industries.


    Strategy Development:
    Work with the executive team to develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy.
    Set clear goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress.


    Budget and Forecasting:
    Develop and manage the business development budget.
    Provide accurate sales forecasts and financial reports.


    Reporting and Documentation:
    Maintain records of all business development activities, client interactions, and opportunities.
    Prepare regular reports on business development progress.

    Core CompetenciesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (Salesforce is a plus).Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize work assignments.

    Excellent written and oral communication skills with effective listening abilities.
    Sound understanding of the construction market and industry trends.
    Effective negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    Strong interpersonal and networking abilities.
    Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
    Proven experience in business development within the construction or related industry.
    Candidate ProfileSelf-starter, highly motivated, and goal-oriented.
    Strong attention to detail and an organized approach to completing tasks.
    Passionate about the construction industry.
    Demonstrates integrity in all situations, consistently choosing to do what is right.

    Willingness to attend events, conferences, meetings, including those outside of normal business hours and out of town.
