Casa de las Campanas is an exceptional life plan senior living community located in Rancho Bernardo where residents enjoy the retirement that they desire. We are looking for motivated environmental services professionals to perform high quality work and provide superior customer service to residents.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include, but not limited to:
Cleans patient rooms according to schedule and procedure. Observes infection control protocol.
Maintains public and common areas of the facility in a safe, orderly and sanitary condition. Must be able to identify and report need for repairs, unsafe conditions and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
Uses cleaning tools, equipment and chemicals safely and per instructions.
Works in areas occupied by patients with known infectious diseases and will handle and transport infectious waste.
Cleans interior and exterior ww indows on a s cheduled basis. Works as a member of a team.
Gets along with co-workers.
Contributes to a positive, healthy and safe environment. Accepts change in a positive manner.
Functions under intensive pressure.
Performs any other relative, relevant duties as assigned. Communicates with patients, visitors and staff.
Attends in-service training classes as scheduled and utilizes information learned when performing duties. Uses carpet-cleaning equipment and performs carpet care as instructed.
Makes and/or changes patient beds as scheduled (Casa only).
Conducts routine inspections of own area of assignment to ensure that departmental quality standards are achieved and maintained.
Assists with the effective and efficient operation of the facility and participates in relevant activities. Receives inventories and verifies delivered quantities of contract linen (Vista only).
**Rate and Shift Information:**
**Wage Range:** $16 per hour; based on experience **Shift:** AM Shift: 7:00am -3:30pm alternating weekends
**Minimum Requirements:**
One year of previous experience working in a hospitality or institutional/health care housekeeping environment, preferred
Ability to communicate at a basic level, orally and in writing, in English
Ability to measure and proportion cleaning chemicals and solvents and calculate linen and supplies needed for work assignment
Ability to work independently, without direct supervision
Able to meet physical demands of position: Push and pull carts and equipment, up to 100 lbs. Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Able to use necessary cleaning equipment including: carpet cleaning equipment, wet and dry vacuum
Able to measure and proportion cleaning chemicals and solvents
Able to calculate the amount of linen and supplies needed for work assignment
Able to pass background checks for a licensed community
Able to wear personal protective equipment including masks and gloves as required by the CDC
