We are seeking a seasonal Construction Review Technician with at least 3 years of experience to be based out of our Waukesha office .

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties for this position include but are not limited to:

Inspecting the construction of sewer, water, paving and other construction projects to ensure that line and grade, materials and workmanship comply with plans and specifications
Prepare accurate daily reports and record drawings utilizing electronic reporting software
Provide project information to contractors, project managers and municipal officials
Interact with the public answering questions and complaints
Recommend solutions to complaints and construction related questions, or elevate to a higher level for resolution

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience and abilities:

Initiative, a positive attitude and attention to detail
Skill in interacting using diplomacy and tact with a variety of different people including residents, municipal officials, supervisors, project managers, contractors and laborers
The ability to act as an on-site coordinator for construction projects
An Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology is preferred, but not required.
Experience in municipal infrastructure design
Experience in land surveying
Experience in Computer Aided Drafting and Design
The ability to read and interpret construction drawings
The ability to use tools to measure, estimate and verify that project specifications are followed
A willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather
A valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and personal vehicle insurance
