- Installing and repairing electrical wiring,fixtures,and equipment in homes, including switches, outlets, andlight fixtures
- Installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing electrical wiring, lighting, andother componentsof the electrical system in residential buildings
- Inspecting electrical systems to ensure they are safe and meet electrical codes and regulations
- Operating an electricians hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers
- Installing electrical systems in new construction projects
- Working with contractors to plan electrical layouts for new construction projects
- Installing low-voltage systems such as security and fire alarms, intercom systems, and surveillance cameras
- Installing electrical wiring and equipment in homes or businesses such as air conditioners, light fixtures, ceiling fans, and electrical outlets
- Installing home automation systems, such as those that control lighting, climate control, security systems, and entertainment systems
- Clean driving record
