Primary Purpose of Organizational UnitITS Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) manages the ITS data centers and provides around-the-clock support for ITS business computing activities.
I&O also supports and maintains the infrastructure for network, data communications transport services, and campus desktop computers, and maintains the infrastructure for the operating systems for non-research ITS servers and for disaster recovery and business continuity activities for ITS.
I&O also manages the enterprise-wide IT Service Management platform ServiceNow.Position Summary
The Sr. Operations Center Administrator to ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.
The Operations Center is a 24×7×365 facility that monitors a vast array of critical IT infrastructure, aids in notification and escalation of outages, and helps to facilitate the handling of a major service outage.
As a key team member, you will vigilantly monitor services, scan infrastructure for potential issues, and work with service owners to resolve issues.
Additionally, you will assist in managing the centralized monitoring platform which will include onboarding of systems from central IT as well as other university departments.
In major incident handling, you'll showcase expertise in executing processes independently and communicating effectively during outages.
This position also requires at least one month a year rotation out of the Operations Center and into the centralized network group.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Master's or Bachelors and 0-2 years' experience; or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution.
