- In collaboration with the Project Manager, the area/department Manager as well as other project engineers and drafters both internal and external.
- In collaboration with the Roquette Corporate Engineering services: Process Safety, Process Engineering and the Technical Standards.
- In collaboration with local representatives: Manufacturing (Production & Maintenance), Purchasing, Quality and HSE.
- In relation with equipment suppliers/vendors, external contractors and inspection bodies.
- Carry-out, develop and coordinate the establishment of P&ID for sizing equipment and installation in the building.
- Take the initiative of technical choices with the teams in agreement with the project manager, and the area/department manager (including safety and environment)
- Carry-out purchase requests, plan and monitor bid package, purchase orders and technical receiving.
- Carry-out and coordinate technical areas such as civil engineering, structure, processes, equipment installation, piping, etc. within the projects
- Solve complex technical problems specific to engineering.
- Carry-out the project deliverables as defined in the "Roquette Engineering Standard" and instruction manual.
- Coordinate the commissioning of the new installation and provisional acceptance phases.
- Travel during the project in USA or abroad, to the group's factories and to suppliers.
- Participate in the preparation of project budget, time schedule and ensure the control of the expenses
- Perform the definition and technical monitoring for the scope of work in agreement with the department manager
- Carry-out, develop and coordinate the project general study in collaboration with the project manager, the designers/drafters (internal and/or external) and the different departments involved. As such, the incumbent must have a very precise knowledge of his role.
- Strongly infuse value analysis into technical approach
- Carry out and verify the Project deliverables as defined in the "Roquette Engineering Standard".
- Have business expertise to be responsible for P&IDs and their adaptation to the business.
- Prepare the study base (surveys on site, existing plans) and carry out layout study (ground plans, general and detailed layouts, area plans).
- Guarantee the integration and compliance of the assigned project with Roquette Engineering Standards and constraints
- Ensure the project follow-up and tasks coordination, the implementation phase coordination, the follow-up of the works on site, pre-commissioning, commissioning and acceptance tests
- Draft, develop and coordinate the layout, the equipment list and follow the evolution of purchase orders and supplies
- Draft, develop and coordinate the layout of 2D / 3D plans (Lay-Out) by distributing potentially part of the work to the Designers (internal/external) participating in the project.
- Carry-out, develop and coordinate the design studies of the new building (civil works, steel structures, ....), equipment installation
- Carry-out, develop and coordinate the piping studies (3D piping routing, isometrics, valves lists ....)
- Enforce regulatory constraints (FSSC 22000, ISO 500001, GMP, ATEX, etc.) and Roquette safety rules defined
- Respect the "hygiene and safety" rules.
- Participate in the preparation of project estimates in phases FEL1, FEL2, FEL3.
- Be expert on sizing equipment.
- Take into account the technical guidelines defined at the Global Engineering level, as well as the development plans of the sites where the projects are integrated.
- Carry-out and coordinate the bid packages for building, equipment and different construction packages and monitor developments with our external service providers (vendors, contractors)
- Define the project's Battery Limits.
- Coordinate and verify the execution studies of Vendors and external contrators
- Coordinate the construction of the new installation with Vendors and Contractors up to the commissioning and performance test
- Manage manufacturers' files, instruction manuals and document storage.
- Distribute and supervise the designers/drafters work (internal/external) and external suppliers working on the project
- Support management on decision-making with the necessary information.
- Bachelors of Science in an Engineering Discipline.
- 5+ years' experience
- Project Engineering experience with project budget >1 M$
- Work in project mode
- Very broad technical skills (mechanics, instrumentation, building construction, piping...)
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The Project Engineer will be in charge of the design, technical development and outcomes of the CAPEX projects (new installation, revamping) and will work in close collaboration with the Project Manager and the Project Team (production, maintenance purchasing, engineering...).
During the study phase of the project, the incumbent will design and draft by itself ( AutoCAD 3D modeling, 2D drawings as lay-out, general arrangement drawings of the building, equipment installation, PFD, P&ID, technical specifications, piping routing & isometrics....) or ensure the coordination of a group of designers and drafters (internal and/or external) using their own in-depth knowledge to include broad experience in equipment/piping installation, and building design/construction (civil works, steel structures ...).
During the project bidding process, the incumbent will participate with the Project Manager and purchasing department to the selection of the Vendors and external Contractors.
During the execution phase of the project, the incumbent will follow-up the execution studies and the construction of the new installation with Vendors and Contractors up to the commissioning and performance test of the new installation.

Employee must be able to wear a respirator.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position. Days and flexible hours of work are required to meet facility demands.
Business Trips (Percentage):
Travel out of the area will be required when working on projects at other US manufacturing plants. Occasional international travel may be expected.
