    We are seeking a Community Home Loan Originator
    • Outside Sales for the Home Loan Origination Department.

    The primary responsibility of the Community Home Loan Originator is to act as the single point of contact for the member or potential borrowers through the home loan process establishing an exceptional member experience.

    They will proactively solicit new residential home loans that meet established loan quality and production goals while helping members or potential borrowers find the loan that best fits their financial needs.

    This will be achieved through developing and expanding relationships with builders, contractors, financial planners and/or personal network.

    Through their knowledge of our home loan products and other offerings as well underwriting expectations and items that may be required for loan approval the Community Home Loan Originator will be responsible for bringing new business to the credit union.

    Establish relationships within the industry and maintain a pipeline of contacts that will serve as future source of business by promoting the Credit Union in the community and business events.

    Develop and maintain a quality pipeline of member relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities.

    Efficiently manage your pipeline by funding loans in a timely manner, following up on outstanding conditions, and following through with commitments and promises to members by meeting and exceeding their expectations.

    Develop training tools and materials to support home loan product knowledge for stakeholders and business partners.


    Experience:
    RequiredSales Experience2 years of sales Residential Loan Lending or related field with a general knowledge of mortgages, basic mortgage calculations and definitions, mortgage underwriting and Texas equitiesPreferredUnderwriting experienceEducation:RequiredHigh School diploma or equivalentPreferred4-year college degreeLicenses & Certifications:RequiredRequires eligibility to be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and RegistryPreferredNMLS RegisteredSkills & Knowledge:RequiredProfessional in appearance and conductTime management skills and reliability - arrives on time to work and meetings, complete tasks and assignments within the required timeframe with the ability to plan, prioritize and self- manageProblem solving through independence and creativenessSense of urgency and ownershipCustomer service oriented and member centricDetail oriented and organizedTeam player and works well with others, Contribute to a positive teamwork environment and high moraleProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Work, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)

    Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm

    Salary Range:
    $75,987 to $82,412 Annually; could be higher, depending on experience, etc
