This role works closely with the Sr. Director of Marketing Analytics developing data analytics and analytical projects. This role inspires innovation and adoption of advanced analytical solutions while leading marketing analysts. Analyzing data produced by various marketing programs and campaigns along with Direct to Consumer purchasing patterns and sales performance.
The manager's role is to better understand customer behavior, future growth opportunities and data specific strategies to optimize marketing programs with the goal of increasing Return on Ad Spend.
This role requires a combination of great analytical skills with strong business acumen, leadership and mentorship in order to clearly articulate ideas while providing insights that will drive continued success.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and quantify opportunities to improve KPI's through analyzing customer data sets and developing data visuals.
Use datamining tools and techniques to transform data into insights.
Create insights, detailed analyses, experiment design and measurement for various business objectives.
Support DTC and Wholesale stakeholders as a thought partner using data and analysis assisting in strategy development, audience targeting and identifying growth opportunities.
Support the measurement of DTC and Wholesale marketing programs, perform campaign response analysis to quantify results to measure and optimize marketing performance; analyze metrics to identify cause-effect relationships between actions and financial outcomes to achieve defined business objectives.
Query data from various datasets, identify insights and effectively communicate results to executive management and business stakeholders in a visually appealing way.
Communicate to technical and non-technical audiences, build business cases and translate analytical results into usable learnings and actions.Ensure analytical work supporting DTC and Wholesale marketing initiatives is completed per project plans and timelines.
Support Digital Marketing initiatives providing sales performance insights across the digital marketing channels.
Support e-mail audience segment criteria from development to implementation.
Manage effective working relationships with business intelligence, marketing, wholesale and other business units as needed to ensure the most relevant ideas and techniques are implemented.
Lead and direct the work of marketing analysts: support development of direct reports; provide opportunities for analysts to take ownership of initiatives; provide coaching and guidance to ensure goals are met and output meets quality standards.
2 days onsite attendance is an essential function of this position.Additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
5+ years' of experience in analytics, B2C, B2B, direct marketing and or the advertising industry, focusing on marketing campaign effectiveness, reporting, analysis, and quantitative research
3+ years of experience managing and mentoring marketing analysts
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented mindset, ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and the ability to anticipate, identify and diagnose problems and make recommendations
Expert in unlocking, synthesizing and translating internal and external data into actionable insights that drive improved acquisition and customer marketing KPIs
Passionate about analyzing data, drawing appropriate conclusions and able to translate findings into business strategies
Experience in customer / consumer analysis, digital channels, market intelligence, customer segment trends and demographic or firmographic analytics
Understanding of marketing, digital channel marketing, direct marketing, segmentation, firmographic, demographic and psychographic principles
Knowledge in applied statistics, experience working in data mining software tools such as R, Python, SQL Server, or Alteryx
Understanding of propensities, rank order correlations and profile ranking indices
Understanding of spatial geography analytics:
block groups, MSA's DMA's
Must have a high level skill in using databases, analytical best practices and experience working in data mining tools
Experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau
Advanced knowledge to write SQL queries for extracting and analyzing data
Skilled communicator and effective presenter
Strong ability to interact with all levels of management and colleagues
Desire to learn new technologies and skills
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems preferred
