- Assist the department in managing expectations surrounding pre and post patient care
- Obtain or review all patient demographic information, insurance information, and referral numbers
- Answer multiple telephones for the department and greet visitors and callers
- Work cooperatively with fellow employees to solve problems and enhance practice efficiency
- Provide coverage for co-workers when needed and maintain confidentiality of all information
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a medical office or hospital setting
- Data entry skills with minimal errors
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
- Strong customer service and multitasking abilities
- Mostly working remote
- Responsible for triaging patient-related calls and documenting instructions given by providers
- Coordinate physician's schedule and follow up on all results and referrals
- Submit requests for authorizations/referrals and ensure coordination of physician surgeries and admissions
