ResponsibilitiesDeployment of Lean Material Flow strategies at the plant and supporting warehouseEstablish and maintain time studies for plant specific materials team membersEstablish and maintain standard work instructions for plant specific materials team membersProvide Industrial Engineering analysis on cost improvement initiativesOwnership of layouts for supply chain managed footprintsSupport and track Lean Assessments and Value Stream Mapping sessionsDefine local CIR's, gap closure plans and project plans based off of plant Supply Chain Engineer's findings through project management functionsDevelop/maintain 5S, KPI programs for supporting warehouse(s)Monitor plant/warehouse Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions for KPI's that fall below allowable thresholdsIdentification, participation from IE perspective, and implementation of cost savings and waste elimination initiativesIdeal Warehouse and Replenishment upkeep and validation at WHQ level Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degreeAt least 5 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experienceORMaster's degreeAt least 3 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experienceORAt least 7 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience Additional RequirementsQualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired SkillsBachelor's degree in industrial engineering or Supply Chain ManagementPreferred experience in establishing and maintaining time studies with MOST motion time systemExperience with AutoCADFamiliarization with a manufacturing environmentExperience working with/in Union environmentStrong knowledge of Logistics and Transportation processes preferredLean and/or Sig Sigma training (Green belt preferred)Proven track record of project design, execution and sustainmentExperience conducting VSM and Kaizen sessionsProficient in Microsoft (Excel, Project, PowerPoint)Hands on knowledge of WMS, YMS, and TMS systems Company OverviewNavistar, Inc.
